01WHAT'S IN THE PACK

What's in the Pack

render-compat-pack.zip contains:

  • cid-font.pdfCIDFontType2 with a large character collection (Adobe-Identity-0). Tests: CID-to-GID mapping, font subsetting, fallback behavior.
  • opentype.pdfEmbedded OpenType font with ligatures, contextual alternates, and CFF outlines. Tests: OpenType feature support, CFF rasterization.
  • type3.pdfType 3 font with custom glyph programs (arbitrary drawing operators). Tests: Type 3 glyph rendering, color-in-glyph support.
  • multi-encoding.pdfSame text rendered in WinAnsi, MacRoman, and a custom encoding. Tests: encoding-table lookup, ToUnicode CMap correctness.
  • README.mdPer-file: which font feature is exercised, known renderer differences observed during creation.

The README documents known differences we observed. Your results may vary by version.

CID-to-GID mapping errors, missing OpenType ligature support, Type 3 glyph rasterization differences, and encoding-table lookup failures. The README documents specific known differences per file.

No. All fonts are embedded in the PDF files. Differences arise from how each renderer interprets the embedded font data, not from locally installed fonts.
